This program trained healthcare workers in medical safety procedures in the context of the pandemic.
Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) works at the intersection of medicine, science, and law to secure human rights for all and shared in the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its work to end the scourge of landmines. In 2020, PHR will partner with HAEFA to conduct workshops and train HAEFA healthcare workers to deliver survivor-centered and trauma-informed care as well as how to appropriately document sexual violence cases. This partnership increased HAEFA's capacity to work with Rohingya people who have survived sexual and gender-based violence.
