HAEFA believes that healthcare is a human right and works to make medical services accessible to populations who are marginalized, oppressed, and underserved.
HAEFA primarily works with Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar district and with ready-made garment (RMG) factory workers in Bangladesh.

Fire Victims Humanitarian Aid
Our team on the ground has been working relentlessly to provide healthcare and other supportive services to the surviving refugees in the Balukhali camp. Our medical team is on-site tending to the burn victims - dressing wounds, providing medicines, and offering medical attention to anyone who needs it.
Cervical Cancer Screening
Women in Bangladesh are two to three times more likely to be diagnosed with cervical cancer. HAEFA’s See-and-Treat Program aims to bridge this gap in diagnosis and care for the many Bangladeshi women suffering from cervical cancer, particularly in the early stages when the cancer is symptomless but easily treatable.
Amphan Cyclone Aid
On May 20th, the catastrophic Super Cyclone Amphan swept through Bangladesh and Eastern India. HAEFA’s medical teams immediately assessed the needs of the cyclone victims and collaborated with Project HOPE to execute an emergency response. In July, over 2,000 lbs (close to 1,000 kg) of supplies and emergency medications were distributed throughout the Amphan affected areas.
NIROG
HAEFA’s health care provision is based on an original and innovative Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system named NIROG. It is entirely paperless and digitized record-keeping software uploaded onto tablets using fingerprint identification and barcoded photo ID cards for patients. The tablets have been further optimized to use solar-powered batteries and to function without constant internet connection.
