Women in Bangladesh are two to three times more likely to be diagnosed with cervical cancer. HAEFA’s See-and-Treat Program aims to bridge this gap in diagnosis and care for the many Bangladeshi women suffering from cervical cancer, particularly in the early stages when the cancer is symptomless but easily treatable.

On May 20th, the catastrophic Super Cyclone Amphan swept through Bangladesh and Eastern India. HAEFA’s medical teams immediately assessed the needs of the cyclone victims and collaborated with Project HOPE to execute an emergency response. In July, over 2,000 lbs (close to 1,000 kg) of supplies and emergency medications were distributed throughout the Amphan affected areas.

It is entirely paperless and digitized record-keeping software uploaded onto tablets using fingerprint identification and barcoded photo ID cards for patients. The tablets have been further optimized to use solar-powered batteries and to function without constant internet connection.
